What we do

We work so that children receive the care they need, in dignified, safe and human spaces.

Sala Ana Frank is an initiative of the Agrupación de Damas Hebreas B’nai B’rith de Cali, developed in partnership with the Hospital Universitario del Valle, to strengthen the care of children in southwestern Colombia.

Our work seeks to improve the conditions in which children receive medical care, and to support their families throughout the hospital stay.

How we do it

We strengthen pediatric care

We support the creation, adaptation and improvement of spaces for children who need different levels of medical care, from hospitalization to intermediate and pediatric intensive care.
We support equipment and supplies

We contribute to the purchase of medical equipment, beds, furniture and supplies so that healthcare professionals can provide appropriate, quality care.
We make hospitalization more human

We know that being in a hospital can be hard for a child and their family. That is why we also work to make these spaces more dignified, safer and more welcoming.
We stand by children and their families

We run initiatives that answer concrete needs during a hospital stay, including daily snacks and other support for children and their carers.
We work hand in hand with the healthcare team

We listen to the needs of the doctors, nurses and other professionals who care for children every day, and look to support projects that make a real difference in children’s lives.

Our purpose

We want children who need specialized medical care to be able to receive it in dignified, safe and human conditions.

Because caring for a child also means caring for their surroundings, supporting their family and providing better conditions for those who work to restore their health.

Work that continues

Caring for a child does not end when a space is inaugurated or a piece of equipment is handed over. That is why our commitment is a permanent one.

We keep working to identify new needs, to strengthen our partnership with the Hospital Universitario del Valle, and to bring in partners who allow us to keep improving the care of children and their families.
